Online Thrift Stores
If you haven’t caught on by now, thrift shopping is kind of a big deal again.
Not into it? Check out my previous post about the benefits of thrift shopping.
With so many online thrift store options to choose from, how do you know which is worth your time? Not to worry, I decided to take the time for you and researched the differences between each of the most popular online consignment stores. You’re welcome. They are highlighted below.
While I typically recommend buying local and supporting local thrift stores, there are many online thrift stores and mobile apps making thrift shopping much easier.
I’ll admit it, I have nearly all of these apps below downloaded onto my phone already. If you are a selective shopper, this list may help you pick and choose which to download.
Luxury Retail Thrift Stores:
TheRealReal (designer apparel, shoes accessories, and vintage home goods)
Tradesy (large variety, similar to TheRealReal but without vintage home goods)
Amuze (specializes in designer accessories, much less variety than TheRealReal & Tradesy)
Instagram Influencer Thrift Stores:
DePop (you can like a seller’s feed, many social media influencers sell items on this app)
Everything Else:
Poshmark (like ebay, but a thrift store. 700,000+ sellers because it’s been around for a while)
Mercari (easy-to-use mobile app platform for sellers and buyers)
ThreadUp (they send you a package to fill with clothes you want to sell, and have a large variety of buying options)
Etsy (typically for creative individuals wishing to sell original designs online, less of a thrift store)
